Abstract

Abstract

The study is theoretically anchored in the area of children's rights, which is guaranteed by domestic and international legislation and should protect the interests of the child/children even in such a difficult situation as the divorce of the parents. Despite the legislative and social change regarding divorce, social workers, as well as other experts dealing with childhood and child, do not cease to draw attention to the possible negative impacts of divorce on the psychosocial development of the child. The presented theoretical knowledge was supplemented by the authors' own findings, which they came to within the framework of qualitative research using the focus group method. The research sample consisted of 17 informants who worked in three focus groups. The discussions in the focus groups were transcribed and then analyzed. For the author's analysis, they chose thematic analysis.

The findings reached by the authors of the study point to problems in the application of the principles and requirements of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in the practice of conflicting guardians.
